The Madison County Record Huntsville, AR 17 Jan 1974 Mrs. Theresa Ann Spurlock, 84, of Route 6, Huntsville, died January 14, in the Madison County Hospital. Born November 9, 1889, at Japton, the daughter of Jake and Sally Nelson Rogers, she was a member of the Church of Christ. Survivors include one son, Ray of Bend, Oregon; five daughters, Mrs. Opal Harriman and Mrs. Maida McChristian, both of Huntsville, Mrs. Chloe Glenn of Ontario, Oregon, Mrs. Joy Lee Johnson of Independence, Kansas, and Mrs. Ora Ball of Fayetteville; one brother, Scott Rogers of Fort Smith; three sisters, Mrs. Nola Harriman of Japton; Mrs. Mandy Johnson and Mrs. Nettie Mickell, both of Fayetteville; thirteen grandchildren and twenty-seven greatgrandchildren. Funeral services were held Wednesday, January 16, 2:00 p.m. at the Japton Church of Christ with Merritt Youngblood and Gus Munden officiating. Burial was in the Gross Cemetery under the direction of Brashears Funeral Home. Pallbearers were Haskell Jackson, Frank Stong, Rueben Bowman, Lee Keeling, Jerry Counts, and Claudia Appleton.
