Kathy Caudle

1950 — 2026
At rest at Prairie Grove Cemetery
Obituary

Katherine Rogene Batt Caudle, age 76, of Prairie Grove, Ark, went to her heavenly home on May 22, 2026.

Born on January 30, 1950 in Stilwell, Oklahoma, Kathy was the daughter of Vera and John Batt.  Kathy was a graduate of Stilwell High School and the University of Arkansas where she obtained a Bachelor of Science Degree in Special Education.  Her personality shaped her career in sales for many years before entering the education field.  After a few years of teaching, she followed her other passion of opening a Dog Kennel, Country Kennels, at her home.  She and husband, Jerry, operated Country Kennels for 19 years. She was a true Snow White, always rescuing and protecting any type of animal.  She was a friend to all and loved her loyal customers and their pets.  Many of you also loved seeing her ushering at the Razorback events, which she did for 9 years.  Kathy loved being outside, tending to her garden, mowing her lawn and planting flowers. She had many talents of loving to cook, bake, sew, decorate, and canning vegetables.

She was a member of the Living Church of God in Fayetteville.  She had a servant’s heart and always used acts of kindness.  She instilled in her family the importance of volunteerism and giving to others.  She was known for her contagious laugh, friendly personality, kind heart, and protective spirit over her loved ones. Throughout her life, she faced every situation with grace, eternal optimism, and hopefulness.  You would never see her without her signature red lipstick.

She is survived by her loving husband, Jerry Caudle, who would have celebrated their 25th wedding anniversary on July 9th; daughters, Alexis Ghormley Smith and husband, Benton, of Jonesboro, AR; Courtney Ghormley Guthrie and husband, Kenny, of Cleora, OK; step-sons, Jason Caudle and wife, Angel, of Redfield, AR; Derek Caudle and wife, Whitney, of Inola, OK; and Corey Caudle of Rogers, AR; her grandchildren; Tom B. and Clarah Creighton Smith; Hannah-Kate and Lauren Guthrie; Jonathan and Makayla Lopez, Maurice and Arianna Biggs, Jayden and Nevaeh Caudle; Stetson Caudle; Rhaylin Peoples, and Reagan and Rylie Caudle; siblings, Ronnie Batt, Linda McBroom, Johnny Batt, and Stephen Batt; her special Aunt Martha Eddings and many cousins, nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Judy Montgomery.

A graveside service is scheduled on Wednesday, May 27 at 2:00 p.m. at the Prairie Grove Cemetery with arrangements being made by Luginbuel Funeral Home in Prairie Grove, AR.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to one of the following:
