Howell, Martha V. Here’s the text extracted from the obituary document for Mrs. Martha V. Howell: Mrs. J. S. Howell Funeral service for Mrs. Martha V. Howell, who died Tuesday morning at 1 o'clock, was held at 11 o'clock Wednesday by Rev. J. F. McCuistion assisted by Rev. O. L. Lierly, and burial was made at the Farmington cemetery. Mrs. Howell was born at Liberty, North Carolina, Feb. 18, 1856 and was married to J. S. Howell in 1879. She was a consistent member of the Bethel Grove Presbyterian church. Surviving are her husband, J. S. Howell; three daughters, Mrs. Bess Atchison and Mrs. Fannie Atchison of Levelland, Texas, and Mrs. R. L. McWhorter of Prairie Grove; two sons, O. D. Branson of Levelland, Texas and Bruce Howell of near Prairie Grove. A son, Carl Howell, died about two months ago.
