Graveside services for Mabel Woods Curteman were held 11:00 a.m. Monday, September 4, 2000 at the Westville City Cemetery with Vol David Woods and David Brown officiating. Services were under the direction of Hart Funeral Home of Westville.
Mabel Woods Curteman was born January 29, 1905 in Dutch Mills, Arkansas to Ulyses Grant Hargrove and Amanda Snodgrass Hargrove. She departed this life August 30, 2000 in Westville, Oklahoma at the age of 95 years, 7 months and 1 day..
She was a farmer and owner and operator of Woods Grocery Store. On July 30, 1924, Mabel was married to Lloyd Arthur Woods. He preceded her in death on September 11, 1967. On July 12, 1972, she was married to Willard Terry Curteman. He preceded her in death on January 3, 1983. Mabel was of the Methodist faith.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two husbands; nine brothers and sisters, Chester, John, Vol, U.G., Ola, Myrtle, Gertie, Lillian and Gladys.
Mabel is survived by one son, Vol Calvin Woods,; one daughter Maxine Woods Pendegraft both of Westville; three granddaughters, Dixie Deen of Texas, Janice Donalson of Blaire, Texas and Debra Brown of Westville; one grandson, Vol David Woods of Welling; nine great grandchildren, Victoria and Allison Deen, Anson and Eddie Lang, Travis and Trenton Brown, Tabitha, Amanda and Vol Colton Woods; and a host of nieces, nephews, friends and loved ones.
