William H. Temple

William and Winnie were married about 1866 or 1867. Winnie was the daughter of Rev. David McCain and Rachel C. William came to Arkansas with his mother and family about 1850. He enlisted in the Army on July 1, 1862 as a volunteer Private under Captain James Allison, Company D, First Regiment of Arkansas Cavalry. He was discharged August, 1865 at Fayetteville, Washington County, AR. William and Winnie lived north of Rudy, AR until their deaths. Winnie died about three days after William in the winter of 1916 or 1917.
