Obituary

Shirley Conner Pinkerton, 84, of Lincoln, Arkansas, passed away on October 6th. She was born on April 29, 1942, to Paul and Juanita Conner in Featherston, OK.

Shirley grew up in Lincoln, Arkansas. After marrying Wesley Glynn “Wes” Pinkerton in 1964, Shirley and Wes built a life centered around hard work, family, and their community. They later became the owners of Twins Auto Service, first started by Wes and his twin brother, Les. Together, Wes and Shirley kept the shop open for 40 years, where she was the office manager and bookkeeper. The business was an important part of the Lincoln community, and Shirley took pride in the people they served and the relationships built until they retired in 2005.

Shirley had many talents and interests. She was an avid genealogist who spent years researching, preserving, and publishing family history. She loved sharing plants with friends and family. She was talented in painting, sewing, and crafts, and was an amazing cook.

Most of all, Shirley was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She adored her grandchildren, Elise and Mattix, and was an active, loving Nana in their lives. Her love, strength, talents, and steady presence will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. Though she will be greatly missed, her memory will live on in the hearts of her family and friends forever.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 55 years, Wesley Glynn Pinkerton; her parents, Paul and Juanita Conner; her sister, Oleta Danforth; her brother, Donald Conner; her sisters-in-law, Judy Pinkerton and Marilyn Pinkerton; and brother-in-law, Don Pinkerton.

Survivors include her son, Matthew Pinkerton and wife Briana; two grandchildren, Elise Pinkerton and Mattix Pinkerton; one brother, Marvin Conner and wife Paula; one sister, Aletta Caswell and husband Wayne; one brother-in-law, Lesley Pinkerton; and one sister-in-law, Karen Spear and husband David.
