Geneva McFarland
81, a resident of the Savoy Community near Fayetteville, Arkansas, passed away September 8, 2006 at her home. She was born February 12, 1925 at Prairie Grove, Arkansas, the daughter of Leo and Jewel Dowell Thomas.
She attended the White Rock Pentecostal Church. Geneva was a member of the Savoy Quilters Club. She worked for a number of years at the Earl Williams Grocery Store, then was a wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great grandmother. Geneva loved to quilt, make flower arrangements, cook, and participant in all kinds of crafts.
She was preceded in death by one daughter, Emma Jean Edgin, and one grandson Terry Dean Edgin.
Survivors include her husband of 42 years, Ivan McFarland of the home; one son Denny Edgin and wife Clarice of Prairie Grove, Arkansas; one daughter, Tawana Hillian and husband Larry of Fayetteville, Arkansas; one brother, Billy Dale Thomas of Prairie Grove, Arkansas; four grandsons, Mike Hillian, Rodney Edgin, Randy Edgin, and Robert Hillian; ten great grandchildren, and one great-great granddaughter.
The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. Sunday, at the Luginbuel Chapel.
Funeral Service will be held Monday, September 11, 2006 - 2:00 P.M. at the Luginbuel Chapel in Prairie Grove with Larry Bonds officiating. Burial will follow at the Mt. Comfort Cemetery near Fayetteville, Arkansas.
Pallbearers will be Mike Hillian, Chris Hillian, Randy Edgin, Robert Hillian, Michael Hillian, Elissa Hillian, and Allison Hillian.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Tyler Edgin, Grant Edgin, Haley Hillian, Chloe Hillian, Christal Edgin, and Nichole Edgin.
