Dan Leon Phillips, 79, of Farmington, Arkansas, passed away on May 30, 2026. He was born on October 7, 1946, in Oklahoma City to Robert I Phillips and Mary Martha (Carpenter) Phillips.
Dan grew up in Delaware County and graduated from Colcord High School. He served his country in the Army National Guard for six years. For much of his working life, he was employed at Watts Fire Safety Equipment Company, where he inspected fire extinguishers.
Dan loved fishing and spending time outdoors. Later in life, he found great joy in helping with the kids at Summers Missionary Baptist Church.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Robert I Phillips and Mary Martha (Carpenter) Phillips; his wife, Constance S Phillips; and his sons, Robert Douglas Phillips and Chris H Phillips.
Dan is survived by his granddaughter, Christen Smith and husband Kylon Smith of Summers, AR; his grandson, Robert Phillips and wife Emily Phillips of Summers, AR; and his great-granddaughter, Kasen Elizabeth Smith.
Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, June 6, 2026 at Summers Missionary Baptist Church.
