WASSUM, Annie M. - Died, Nov. 30th of Typhoid Pneumonia, near
Rhea’s Mills, Arkansas, Annie M. Wassum, second daughter of W.J. and M.
Wassum, aged 18 years, 1 month and 22 days. Again the death angel has
entered a happy home and taken therefrom one of its dearest treasures
and aching hearts are now yearning for one sight of the beloved form or
one sound of the gentle voice of darlinghnie. She embraced the Christian
religion and was immersed by Elder L. Scott in February 1874 and since
that time has lived a devoted Christian life and died triumphant in the
hope of a home in the mansions which in her dying hours she said were too
bright to be gazed upon by mortal eyes. Patient throughout her sickness
and fully prepared for the coming of the summons which sooner or later all
must hear, we have full confidence that she has gone to the home of the
Saviour whom she loved and at his right hand is waiting to welcome her
beloved ones home. AFriend. Hickory Grove, Dec. llth, 1874. Oceola Democrat
