BURIED AT FARM'TON
Funeral service for Mrs. Mary Brooks Broyles, 81, widow of the late 1. N. Broyles, who passed away at the home of her daughter, Mrs. J. W. Clayton, Sunday evening following an illness from influenza and complications, was held; from the Clayton home Monday afternoon at 2 o'clock, with Rev. George Pond of Fayetteville, officiating.
Burial was made at the Farmington cemetery with the Southern funeral service in charge of arrangements.
Pallbearers were Roy, Earl, Marvin and Buster Clayton, J. B. Gibson, Hosea Ferguson, Arlan! Wetzel, Bruce Howell, Norman Shipley and Johnny Mayse, all grandsons of Mrs. Broyles. The floral offerings were car- ried by Viola White, Ruth Gibson, and Ruby Whetzel, grand- daughters of the deceased.
Mrs. Broyles was born in Greenville, Tenn., June 11, 1849, and was married to I. N. Broyles in 1869. She professed faith in Christ in early life. and united with the Methodist church, remaining a member of that church until she moved to Arkansas in 1877. About 1893 she united with the Cumberland Presbyterian church and remained a faithful and consistent member until her death.
Mrs. Broyles is survived by six daughters: Mrs. W. E. Mc- Kee of Phoenix, Ariz., Mrs. Ed Borden of Jerome, Idaho, Mrs. Nolen Alderson of Wesley, Ark., Mrs. J. W. Clayton, Mrs. H. J. White and Mrs. H. E. Dorman of Farmington; 18 grandchildren; 20 great grand- children; one sister, Mrs. Will Holland, of Fayetteville; and one brother, O. L. Brooks of California.
One daughter, Maggie, died March 8, 1917, and Mr. Broyles died March 28, 1917. Mrs. McKee and Mrs. Borden were unable to attend the funeral. All of the other daughters were with their mother when she passed away.,
