Mrs. Mary Jane Dodson was born April 24, 1865 and died Friday, April 7, at the home of her daughter, Mrs. D. C. Ledbetter at Huntsville. Funeral services were conducted at the Baptist church in Huntsville at 2:30 p.m. with Rev. Norman Drake, local pastor, officiating. Burial was at Huntsville cemetery with the Simpson Funeral home in charge.
Mrs. Dodson had been bedfast for the past nine months suffering a fractured hip, which she sustained in a fall, but the immediate cause of her death was pneumonia.
She is survived by two sons, Minyard Parker of California, Jim Parker of Huntsville and five daughters, Mrs. Lizzie Richardson, Mrs. Josephine Auslam, Mrs. Nora Withrow, Mrs. Nina Reed and Mrs. D. C. Ledbetter all of Huntsville.
