San Saba, Texas
Marlo Eugene Bozarth of Prairie Grove, went to rest in the loving arms of Jesus Christ on March 7, 2013 at the age of 86. He was born August 15, 1926 in San Saba, Texas, the son of Lawrence and Hazel Brashier Bozarth.
Mr. Bozarth served as a Private in the Army Infantry Division in the Phillippines and in the Army Air Corps during WWII. He loved his country and received two honorable discharges.
He was a devoted Christian and loved to share his faith. He served as a lay preacher and Sunday School teacher for many years at White Rock Pentecostal Church of God and at Centerpoint Church of God in his later years.
He was preceded in death by both parents, his wife of 60 years, Margie Cooper Bozarth, a baby girl, Brenda June, and three sisters, Helen Sinor, Leoda Cooper and Joyce Acker.
He is survived by his wife, Margie Long Bozarth; one son, Leon Bozarth (Elaine) of Fayetteville, one daughter, Connie Norton Bozarth of Weekiwachee, Florida; three sisters, Yvonne Phillips (Harold) of Elmore City, Oklahoma, Opal Foster (Frank) of Prairie Grove an Diamond Byford of New Walla, Oklahoma; three grandchildren, Monty Bozarth (Glenda) of Fayetteville, Amy Bozarth Jenkins (Josh) of Raleigh, North Carolina and Glenn Norton of Weekiwachee, Florida; one great grandson, Cody Bozarth of Springdale; three step-sons Ricky, Randy, and Danny Long and many loving in-laws, nieces, nephews and friends.
Family will receive friends on Sunday from 2:00 - 4:00 P.M. at Luginbuel Funeral Home.
Funeral service will be held Monday, March 11, 2013 - 10:00 A.M. at Center Point Church of God near Prairie Grove with Rev. Eric Howerton officiating. Burial will be in the National Cemetery in Fayetteville, there will be no graveside services held.
Family asks in lieu of flowers memorials be made to Veterans Health Systems of the Ozarks Attn: Palliative Care (payable to) Palliative Care - 1100 N. College - Fayetteville, AR 72701.
Pallbearers will be: Cody Bozarth, Carl Bartholomew, Lonnie Grant, J D Deere, Paul Sinor and Bob Lee.
Honorary Pallbearer will be Larry Reaves.
