THE EDMISTON’S OF WASHINGTON COUNTY, ARKANSAS BY ALLAN S. HUMPHREYS (29) JOHN V, 5 EDMISTON, (Harvey H., 4 etc.), was born ca. 1853; died 1921; m. 26 Sept. 1877 to Sarah E. White, (Dau. or James White), b. 1856; d. 1933. Buried in Edmiston Cemetery, near Marrow, Ark. In 1887 he was postmaster at Dutch Mills and was also in business there under the firm name of Edmiston and White. He sold his interest to Mr. Reed but continued to work for the firm even after it was again sold to Mr. Freeman. In 1889, he served as guardian tor the two sons of his brother, Thomas A.
