Daughter of James and Jane (Reed) Andrews. An 1857 graduate of Westminster College, she married Dr. Rankin in 1860. She spent several years as a teacher in the Linesville area public schools and was a Bible teacher in the Methodist Church. She was a member of the Linesville Ladies Literature Club.
