He was born June 30, 1932 in Perryville, Arkansas, a son of Jess Rankin and Pearl Thedford Rankin. He was the widower of Janiece Powell Rankin and a member of the Perryville United Methodist Church. Bobby was an Air Force Veteran and retired as a bank teller from Perry County Bank after many years of service. He is survived by his children, Tina, Tamma, Greg, Tanya, and their families; and three step grandchildren, Marcy, Allison, Summer, and their families. He was well known and loved by the people of Perry County. Other than his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by a sister, Ida Mae Henry and a brother, Cleburne Rankin. Graveside services will be 2:00 p.m. Thursday, November 2, at Hope Cemetery. Arrangements are by Harris Funeral Home of Perryville. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, at the Perryville Funeral Home.
