J.A. Rainwater, 84, of Van Buren passed away Saturday, August 26, 2017 in a local hospital. He was an Army Veteran of the Korean War as an MP stationed in Arlington, Virginia. He retired as a butcher for Piggly Wiggly Foods, Hays Foods and C.V.’s IGA Food Stores. He was a member of the Cedarville First Baptist Church. He was also a member of the Van Buren Masonic Lodge. He was proceeded in death by his parents, Wallace E. Rainwater and Jessie (Graham) Rainwater; and a brother, Wallace Graham Rainwater. Funeral service will be at 1:00 P.M. Tuesday, August 29, 2017 at Ocker Memorial Chapel in Van Buren with burial at Hall Cemetery in Natural Dam, Arkansas under the direction of Ocker Funeral Home in Van Buren, Arkansas.
