Steven Robert Dersam, son of James and Betty (Barnett) Dersam, was born on November 28, 1948 in Columbus, Ohio and departed this life on Friday, June 13, 2014 at Fayetteville, Arkansas at the age of 65 years. He worked as a Truck driver to support his family. He married Bonnie Kindle on May 17, 1975 and they were blessed with a wonderful family. Steven was a Vietnam Veteran. He also spent several years in Germany with the U.S. Army. He will be missed by all who knew him. Steven was preceded in death by his parents: James and Betty Dersam, his wife: Bonnie, sister: Dorothy Weilenman, father-in-law: Enoch Kindle. Surviving him is a loving family that includes his children: Robert Dersam of Westville, Terrill Dersam and wife Marinda, Of Westville, Jason Dersam and wife Crystal of Lincoln, AR, 8 grandchildren, brothers: James Dersam and wife Carolyn, Mike Dersam Sr. of Prairie Grove, AR, Freddy Dersam and wife Debbie of Lincoln, AR, Donald Dersam and wife Becky of Elm Springs, AR. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Funeral services were held at 2 pm on Friday, June 20, 2014 at Roberts & Hart Funeral Chapel, Westville, Oklahoma with Bro. John Boydston officiating. Interment followed at Old Baptist Mission Cemetery, Westville, Oklahoma.
