Frances "Lorene" Ledford, 96, of Fayetteville, passed away Saturday, May 28, 2016. She was born April 30, 1920 in Elkins, the daughter of Bud and Katie Faulkner O'Neal. Lorene was retired from the United States Postal Service as a Mail Carrier and was of the Baptist Faith. She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers: George, Chester, Carl and Donald; her sisters, Mary Bell and Marie Lawson. Survivors include her children: L. Bruce Ledford and wife, Marilyn of Elkins, Buddy N. Ledford and wife, Cheryl of Fayetteville, and Shirley A. Alderson and husband, Glendon of Fayetteville; sister, Barbara J. Canfield of Norman, Okla.; four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Funeral Services will be at 10 a.m., Wednesday, June 1, 2016 at Nelson~Berna Funeral Home in Fayetteville with Glen Faulkner officiating. Burial will be in the Mount Olive Cemetery. Visitation will be 5~7 p.m., Tuesday, May 31, 2016 at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the Mount Olive Cemetery.
