Lora Geane Philips Cheatham, 82, a resident of Lincoln, Arkansas passed away Thursday, October 31, 2019 at Prairie Grove Health and Rehab while in hospice care. She was born January 31, 1937. She was the daughter of Earney Phillips and Opal (Gregory) Phillips of Prairie Grove.
Lora was a member of the Lighthouse Church in Lincoln. In her youth she worked at the Prairie Grove Kelly Canning Factory and the Prairie Grove Nursing Home. She was the dedicated farmer’s wife of Junior Cheatham and the loving mother of their three children.
She was preceded in death by her parents Earney and Opal Phillips.
Survivors include her husband, Junior Cheatham of 55 years and their two sons, Ronald Cheatham and Dwayne Cheatham; and one daughter, Glenda (Cheatham) Martin; one brother, Earl Phillips; and three sisters, Ruby Drain, Mildred Smith and Freeda Gobezutt; and numerous grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
There will be a “Celebration of Life” memorial at “The Light House Church”, located at 11389 S. Wedington Blacktop Road, Lincoln, Arkansas, on Saturday, November 9, 2019 at 11 a.m. to celebrate Lora’s life. All friends and relatives are invited to attend the memorial.
Her final resting place will be in the Cheatham Family Cemetery in Lincoln, Arkansas.
