GODDARD, Lila - Lila, daughter of J.D. and Abbie Goddard, was born December 13,1877 and died November 4,1898 of typhoid fever. Her sickness was of short duration and her death was a very great shock to all who knew her. She was converted in the year of 1893 at a meeting held by Rev. Irvin Harris at Prairie Grove, Arkansas. She was an acceptable member of the Baptist Church at the time of her death. She leaves a father, mother, sister and brother to mourn her loss. A Friend. [The Springdale News [12/13/1898]
