THE EDMISTON’S OF WASHINGTON COUNTY, ARKANSAS

(10) SAMUEL NEELY EDMISTON, (Moses James, 2 etc,), born 11 Feb. 1804; died 1854. He was unmarried in 1850. In 1837 he sold 41 acres of land to William T. Woolsy, On 20 Jan. 1851, he gave bond as administrator for the estate of his brother, Moses E., with David Mayberry and James w. Edmiston as his securities. Later Presley R. Smith replaced Mayberry. Samuel's last. record as administrator is on 15 Feb. 1854. His tombstone shows only 1854 as his death date. His nephew, Moses A. Edmiston, , succeeded him as administrator of the estate of Moses Edmiston.
