(probably) son of Clinton W. Myers and Bessie Shrout Myers. Clinton died in Kansas when John was five months old. Bessie later married Sterling C. Pitts and had four more children. She is buried nearby. From obituary in Oswego (Kansas) Independent, July 6, 1906 for Clinton W. Myers, that states "C.W. Myers died at Dodge City, Kansas, Last Saturday, and the remains were brought to this city for interment. Two weeks ago, he went to Dodge City, accompanied by his wife, formerly Miss Bessie Shrout of this city. He leaves a wife and baby five months old. ..." This is the only Myers buried near Bessie. He would have been born about March 1906 and was probably dead by June 1910, because no Myers child was listed in the household of Sterling & Bessie Pitts in the Federal census of 1910.
