McCULLOCH, Clem - {from The Fayetteville Daily, Tuesday) Clem McCullouch died at 11 o’clock this morning of appendicitis after an illness of ten days. He was operated on Monday and for a couple of days appeared to be doing well but a turn for the worse took place Wednesday night and his life gradually ebbed away. He was born at Cane Hill in 1842 and that place has always been his home. He gave four years faithful service to the Confederate cause and was a member of Prairie Grove Camp. U.C.V. For a number of years he was deputy auditor of state and was extensively acquainted in every part of the state. He was a consistent member of the Presbyterian church, an upright man and useful citizen. [The Springdale News 5/12/1911]
