Violet Marie Spieker 76, of Anderson, Missouri, died Jan. 4, 2009, at Golden Living Center in Anderson, Missouri. She was born May 4, 1932, in Lee's Summit, Mo., to William Henry and Gertrude Cheatham Hobbs. She moved to Bentonville in 1996 and in 2005 she returned to McDonald County. Throughout her life she worked in the field of home healthcare. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Robert K. Dean and David Spieker, her son, James Henry Dean. Survivors include two daughters, Rebecca Craig and husband Walter of Sulphur Springs and Kathy Fourt of Bella Vista; six grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Chester Hobbs of Anderson and Jack Hobbs of Golden City, Mo.; her sister, Lila Hobbs of Lanagan, Mo. Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, Anderson Chapel of the Ozark Funeral Home in Anderson. Bob Holloway will officiate. Burial will be in Cheatham Cemetery in Lincoln. Memorials may be made to Golden Living Center and may be left at the funeral home.
