Freda Mae Dees

Freda Mae Dees Oxford 89, of Wedington died Feb. 23, 2009, at Washington Regional Medical Center in Fayetteville. She was born Feb. 27, 1919, in Wedington to Alfred Dees and Nora Spears Dees. She was a homemaker and a member of Weddington Methodist Church and Weddington Quilting Club. She was preceded in death by her husband, Wesley Oxford, and son, Phillip Oxford. Survivors include a son, David Oxford of Fayetteville; two grandchildren; three great-grandchildren. Services will be at 2 p.m. today at Backstrom-Pyeatte Funeral Home in Siloam Springs. The Rev. Joe Hall will officiate. Burial will be in Weddington Cemetery.
