Nina Almenda Woods 83, of Siloam Springs died April 9, 2008, at Siloam Springs Memorial Hospital. She was born Jan. 17, 1925, in Washington County to Jess Barnes and Connie Hicks Barnes. She was preceded in death by her husband, Silas Woods; one son and one grandson. Survivors include one daughter, Sharon Kay Staneart and husband of Siloam Springs; two sons, Garry Woods of Watts, Okla., Jerry Woods and wife Linda of Brighton, Ill.; eight grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; one brother, Harrison Barnes of Boise, Idaho. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today at Wasson Funeral Home in Siloam Springs, www.wassonfuneralhome.com. A graveside service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at Weddington Cemetery with the Rev. Tim Estes officiating.
