Billy Jack Thurman Billy Jack Thurman, 60, of Watts, Okla., died Thursday, Nov. 13, 2003, at his home. He was born Dec. 28, 1942, in Cincinnati, Ark., to John B. Thurman and Ova Kerby Thurman. He lived most of his life in northwest Arkansas and northeast Oklahoma. He was a carpenter and a bus driver for the Watts Public Schools. Survivors include two sons, Johnny Thurman and Clay Thurman, both of Watts; a daughter, Rosemary Sumner of Gentry, Ark.; three grandchildren, Danielle Thurman, Garrette Sumner and Kathelyn Sumner, all of Gentry; four brothers and two sisters-inlaw, Clifford Thurman and Clint Thurman, both of Prairie Grove, Ark., Raymond Thurman and Elaine Thurman of Nashville, Tenn., and Richard Thurman and Shelley Thurman of Houston, Texas; a sister, Anna Belle Walker of Gentry; and a special friend, Karolyn Wesley of Watts. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Monday, Nov. 17, at the Wasson Memorial Chapel in Siloam Springs, Ark., with the Rev. Lonnie Nelson and the Rev. Jim Beavers. Burial will be at the Norwood Cemetery, near Wedington, Ark. Arrangements are by Wasson Funeral Home of Siloam Springs.
