Martha Elizabeth Morton

ROGERS, Martha Elizabeth MORTON - {from The Prairie Grove Herald} Mrs. Martha Rogers, wife of Mr. William D. Rogers, passed into life eternal at her home in Prairie Grove at 10 minutes past six o’clock on the morning of May 3,1912 after an illness of two weeks. Martha Elizabeth Morton was born at the old Morton homestead in Prairie Grove, Ark. Feb. 27, 1838 and was the youngest daughter of the late William Morton and his wife, Rachael Morton. Her parents came to this state from Tennessee shortly after their marriage. Mr. Morton being a native of North Carolina and his wife, Rachael Crawford, a native of Virginia.
