William Henry "Billy" Thomas

THOMPSON, William – (Marrs Hill Column) Uncle Billie Thompson died at his home near Viney Grove, Tuesday, March 31st, and left many friends to mourn their loss. He was 84 years old. [Fayetteville Democrat 4/8/1908]THOMAS, W.H. - {from The Prairie Grove Herald] W.H. Thomas, an aged and highly respected citizen, died at his home at Viney Grove Tuesday afternoon about 2 o’clock. His death was the result of a stroke of paralysis which he suffered last Saturday. Mr. Thomas was born in Sevier county, Tenn. Nov. 5th, 1823. He was the father of eight children, seven of whom survive him. He was twice married, his first wife having died in 1861 and in 1891 he was married to Miss Catherine Winstead, who survives him.
