Alfred William Luper 83, a resident of Ashley, Illinois, passed away January 9, 2007 at Mount Vernon, Illinois. He was born March 1, 1923 at Mountainburg, Arkansas, the son of James Henry and Matilda Delilah Caughman Luper. Alfred was a member of the Masonic Lodge. He was preceded in death by his fist wife, Joanne Luper; one daughter, Carol Falker; one brother, Clint Luper; two sisters, Dillie Hutchins and Ruth Shy. Survivors include his wife Geneva Luper of the home; one son, Art Luper and wife Susan of Modesto, California; one daughter, Ann Lofton and husband Billy of Prairie Grove, Arkansas; one brother, Jesse Luper of Wichita, Kansas; five grandchildren, Thomas Luper, Suzanne Miller, Matt Lofton, Samantha Falker, and Jesse Falker; four great grandchildren. Visitation will be Friday from 4:30 p.m. until 8:30 p.m. at the Luginbuel Chapel. Funeral Service will be held Saturday, January 13, 2006 - 10:00 A.M. at the Luginbuel Chapel Prairie Grove, Arkansas.
