Raylene Crawford, 90, of Lamesa, Texas, passed away on Monday, May 8, 2017. She was born on November 01, 1926 to Raymond C and Elizabeth Mae (Anderson) Rogers. She married Joe W. Crawford on July 31, 1946 in Springdale, Arkansas. She worked as a seamstress for Kids Shop in Lamesa. She knitted baby hats for newborns. She loved volunteering for Hospice and nursing homes. She was an active member of Second Baptist Church, Assembly of God in Lamesa and The First Assembly of God in Tahlequah, Oklahoma. She was a devoted and loving mother and wife. She loved to garden, crafts and ceramics. Raylene is survived by her children Douglas Ray Crawford and wife, Ruby of Greenville, Texas, Carol Smith and husband Billy Ray of Lamesa, Texas, Lisa Hereford and husband Carl of Midland, Texas; sister Allene Comfort of Rogers, Arkansas; 9 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband, her parents, one sister Linda Faye Crawford and one brother Tom Rogers. Visitation will be held on Friday, May 12, 2017 from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Luginbuel Funeral Home.
