Louise Imelda Zernicek Seward
83, a former resident of the Dutch Mills Community departed this life September 10, 2006 in Prairie Grove, Arkansas. She was born May 6, 1923 in Sealy, Texas, the daughter of Josef and Mary Sliva Zernicek.
She was a Veteran of WW II. Louise graduated from a Business College with a Degree in Accounting. She married Wid Wright Seward on September 9, 1948 at Beaumont, Texas. Louise lived in the flat lands of West Texas before moving to Arkansas, with her family in 1965. Louise took great thrills in exploring and trying new experiences such as flying planes, driving huge trucks etc. She loved her Czechoslovakian heritage, visiting and laughing with everyone. She will be greatly missed. Louise was a member of the St. Mary?s Catholic Church in Siloam Springs.
She was preceded in death by her husband, one daughter, Allena Rich Hudgens, a son Frank Seward; three grandchildren, Michael Seward, Troy Rich Hudgens, Felina Rich Hudgens; seven sisters, Mary, Antonia, Gabrila, Gabrila, Frances, Josephine and Martha; six brothers, Joe, Frank, Emil, Ludwig, Alois, George, mother Mary Sliva Zernicek and father Josef Zernicek.
Survivors include seven sons, Wid Seward Jr. of Lincoln, Arkansas, James Seward of Rogers, Arkansas, Robert Seward of Orange, Texas, Henry Seward of Dutch Mills, Arkansas, Paul Seward of Conway, Arkansas, Lloyd Seward of Westville, Oklahoma, and Tom Seward of Sapulpa, Oklahoma; three daughters, Elizabeth Seward Waldrop of Salem Springs, Arkansas, M. K. (Kathy) Seward Snodgrass of Lincoln, Arkansas, and Jane Seward Brady of Dutch Mills, Arkansas; over 100 offsprings.
A Rosary Services will be held Friday afternoon, September 15, 2006 - 6:30 p.m. at the Luginbuel Chapel in Prairie Grove lead by Ceil Chouinard. A family video of Louise?s life will follow the Rosary Service. The family will receive friends until 9:00 p.m. at the Chapel.
A Funeral Services will be held Saturday, September 16, 2006 - 10:00 a.m. at the Luginbuel Chapel in Prairie Grove with Father Clayton Gould officiating. Grave side services will follow at the Dutch Mills Cemetery Pavilion with burial to follow in the Dutch Mills Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Wid Seward Jr., James Seward, Robert Seward, Henry Seward, Paul Seward, Lloyd Seward and Tom Seward.
