Carter Smith 80, a resident of Cincinnati, Arkansas, passed away March 25, 2009 at the Washington Regional Medical Center in Fayetteville. He was born December 19, 1928 at Cincinnati, Arkansas, the son of Joe Harrel and Katherine R. May Smith. Carter was preceded in death by three brothers, Pat, Delmar and Bill Smith; two sisters, Nellie Mankins and Sue Smith. Survivors include his wife of 55 years, Sigrid Smith of the home; one son, Jim Smith and his wife, Stephanie, of Cincinnati, Arkansas; one daughter, Cathy Fulmer and her husband, Jim of Russellville, Arkansas; two sisters, Shirley Johnson and her husband, J.D. of Weddington, Arkansas, and Margaret Wood of Westville, Oklahoma; six grandchildren, Melissa, Matt, Derrick, Kylon, Grant and Adrian. Visitation will be from 1:00 until 5:00 p.m. at the Luginbuel Chapel in Prairie Grove. The family will not be present for the visitation. Funeral Service will be held Monday March 30, 2009 - 2:00 P.M. at the Old Union Cemetery in Cincinnati, with Jon Croce officiating. Interment will be in the Old Union Cemetery.
