FRITTS, Mrs. C.E. {McCUISTION) - The subject of this sketch, Mrs.
C.E. Fritts, wife of F.M. Fritts and sister of the Rev. J.F. McCuistion, was
born in Madison county, Ark. February 23, 1846; married May 30, 1872;
departed this life March 31,1904, age 58 years 2 months and 8 days. She
was the mother of six children, two of which had preceded her to their
heavenly home, one infant and one grown daughter. She leaves a kind
husband and four married children, two sons and two daughters, together
with many friends and relatives to mourn her loss. She professed faith in
Christ in her youthful days and notwithstanding her intense suffering for
over twenty years, she was always strong in faith, giving glory to God. Yes,
dear sister, as I pen these lines I take a step backward of forty years and
find myself in your loving arms or sitting beside you at the table or riding
behind you on the big white horse to the old church where the preacher
was filled with the Holy Ghost and sinners knew when they were converted
without being told. Weep not husband, weep not children and friends,
God will give her to us again, where the sun will no more go down and the
days of our mourning will be past. A Brother. [Washington County Review
