Wayne Edward Sims, 71, of Savoy, Ark., went to be with the Lord on Dec. 30, 2016, at his home surrounded by his family. He was born November 26, 1945 in Fayetteville, Ark., to Ellis Monroe and Esther Naomi Harvey Sims. He was preceded in death by parents. Wayne was a graduate of Farmington High School. He was retired from Cox Cable Co. Wayne enjoyed camping, fishing, hiking, wheeling and dealing, his beloved Millpond and Wayne's World. Wayne is survived by his wife of 52 years, Linda Phipps Sims; his daughter Kellie Luther and her husband Tim; his son Kirk Sims and his wife Chal; four grandchildren, Evan Luther and wife Carlie, Meaghan Dill and her husband Brandon, Dustin Sims and Haylee Sims; two great-grandchildren, Asher Dill and Lily Luther. A drop-in Celebration of Life honoring Wayne and Loren Phipps will be 1-4 p.m., Sunday, Jan. 8, 2017 at the Savoy Community Building. Refreshments will be provided.
