Mary was the first wife of James Henry Rankin(they were married in Arkansas). Mary died at the time of/or shortly after the birth of my grandfather, Thomas Jefferson Rankin (Sr.). Thomas was raised by James "Jim" Anderson. Thomas and my grandmother(Lucy Lenard) are buried in Park Grove Cemetery in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma. I do not know at this time who raised Bertha, but do know that they called her by "Martha May", which is what her headstone reads. She is also buried in Park Grove Cemetery.
