1936 New paper Associated Press - James Wesley Skinner, 35, Greenland was fatally wounded by Federal revenue agents raiding an still 12 miles south of Fayetteville. Rex Hays cheif agent for the state and head of the raiding squad, said an agent fired on Skinner when the man attempted to draw a pistol.
