Luginbuel Funeral Home records list Winton Peter Choate mother as Pricella Maberry who was born in Tennessee. 1911 Census of Confederate Ceterans in Arkansas, page 98. CHOATE, Went C. (Winston?), of Summers, Arkansas, was born June 24, 1844 at Jamestown, Fentress County, Tennessee, the son of Edward Choate, who was the son of Christopher (106 years old!) and his wife Nancy Choate who lived in Tennessee. Maiden name of subject’s mother was Priscilla Moberry, daughter of Jacob Moberry. Subject was a farmer, stone mason and a Democrat. He served with Captain Frizzell, Col. William Penn Adair and Jacob Scoby for three and one-half years. He married Mary E. Arnold, daughter of Willis Arnold and wife Mary Pistol on July 16, 1865. Children are Mrs. Sarah F. Wright, Summers, Arkansas; Henry and W.E Choate, Summers, Arkansas. [1911 Arkansas Confederate Census]
