Doris Elnora Colburn daughter of Oral and Myrtle (Fine) Pridemore was born September 18, 1921 in Lincoln, Arkansas and departed this life to be with our Lord on November 23, 2011in Stilwell, Oklahoma at the age of 90 years, 2 months and 5 days. She was married to Buford Colburn and to this union one daughter was born. Buford was a farmer and Doris loved being a farmer’s wife helping him with the daily farming chores. She also worked beside him painting the houses that he built. Later in life she started working for Cookson Hills as a teacher’s assistant where she enjoyed this passion until retiring from Zion School. Doris was also a great cook and enjoyed spending time with her family. She was known as Granny Fiddlebritches to her great grandchildren. Doris was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and siblings; Avis Pennel, Lester Pridemore, Dutch Pridemore, Clifford Pridemore and Darrell Pridemore. She is survived by a very loving family that includes her daughter; Pat Eaton and husband Bill of Stilwell, OK, 2 granddaughters; Dian Walker and husband Greg, Jody O’Neal and husband Larry all of Stilwell, OK, 4 great grandchildren; Rylan Gregory of Stilwell, OK, Breanna Brumley and husband Cody of Jenks, OK, Amy Edgmon and husband Will of Stilwell, OK, Jobi Gregory of Stilwell, Ok, 1 great granddaughter; Charlotte Brumley of Jenks, OK. Her brother; Harold Pridemore and wife Karen of St. Louis, MO, several nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends also survive her. Graveside services were held, Saturday, November 26, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. in the Oak Grove Cemetery with Doug Davis officiating. Interment followed under the direction of Roberts/Reed-Culver Funeral Home
