MESSER, Patten Mack – Mack Messer, 83 years of age, died recently at his home at Dutch Mills, in the western part of the county. [The Springdale News 3/17/1922] Patten Messer of Dutch Mills was passed by the Confederate Pension Board of Washington County for the sum of $50 per annum. [Fayetteville Democrat 7/25/1901} Patten Messer is on the Confederate Pension list to receive $70 from the Washington County Clerk’s office. [Fayetteville Arkansas 9/22/1910] P.M. Messer filed Veteran Application #13297 with the Confederate Pension Board of Washington County for a Confederate pension and it was received as allowed August 14, 1912 at the State.
