JONES, William Wilson - Mr. W.W. Jones Dead - Mr. William Wilson Jones died at his home in Lincoln Sunday morning of paralysis aged 70 years. The deceased was born in Quincy, Illinois and 26 years of his life has been spent in Arkansas. Mr. Jones lived for a number of years in Pleasant Home and from his farm he gave the land for the site of the Pleasant Home Church. From the church his funeral was held Monday afternoon, conducted by Rev. F.P. Harrison and he was buried in the cemetery. Mr. Jones was a carpenter by trade and he was an industrious man. For several years he lived in Prairie Grove where he united with the Southern Presbyterian church. He moved with his family to Iowa several years ago returning here and locating at Lincoln last spring. Beside his wife he is survived by eleven children, five sons and six daughters all of whom were with him with the exception of one son and daughter in his last illness.
Mr. Jones was a good man, a kind father and husband and a neighbor who was ever ready to help those who needed help. [Prairie Grove Herald 1/26/1921]
