Research Notes

Loyd Luginbuel attended public schools at Dutch Mills, AR. He moved to Lincoln and with his brother Reid established the Luginbuel Funeral Home in 1924. After a short time, Reid moved to Vinita, OK and established a funeral home. In 1938 Loyd established a funeral home in Prairie Grove, Washington County, AR. He was a charter member of the Kiwanis Club of Lincoln, Washington County, AR and the Lions Club in Prairie Grove, Washington County, AR. He was a member of the Lincoln Masonic Lodge 615 for over 60 years. He was a member of the Eastern Star and the United Methodist Church in Lincoln, Washington County, AR. Survivors at the the of his death were one son, Loyd W. Luginbuel of Prairie Grove, Washington County, AR and one daughter, Janice Hibbard of North Little Rock, AR. four grandchildren, Stacy Luginbuel, Amy Luginbuel both of Prairie Grove, Washington County, AR, Keri Hawley of Chicago, IL and Rob Hibbard of Boston, MS.
