10/18/1928 Mrs. Elizabeth Barnes Mrs. Elizabeth Barnes, aged 92 years, died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Alexander at Rhea, Monday morning, Oct. 15th, after a weeks illness. Funeral services were held from the Amity church by Rev. Willie Osburn, assisted by Rev. Hudson, with interment at Rhea cemetery. Mrs. Barnes was born in Washington county, May 29, 1836, and was a faithful member of the Primitive Baptist church. Her husband, A. Barnes, died in September. 1901. Besides Mrs. Alexander, with whom she made her home, she is survived by a son, R. A. Barnes of Prairie Grove, and a daughter, Mrs. Emma Henry of Denver, Colorado. Husband: Alexander S.
