Carrol Olen Rainwater

Age 87, a resident of Prairie Grove, Arkansas, passed away Thursday, May 23, 2024 at his home. He was born January 24, 1937 in Natural Dam, Arkansas, the son of William Harris and Grace (Oliver) Rainwater.

Carrol graduated from the Cedarville High School after proudly starting kindergarten at the age of 4. He earned his bachelors degree in business administration from Tulsa University and served in the United States Army at Fitzsimmons Army Hospital. He owned and operated the Prairie Grove Enterprise and Lincoln Leader. He worked in real estate for 37 years including co-owner and broker at Rainwater Real Estate many of those years with his brother Vernon. He later worked as the business manager and Chief Operating Officer of the Mount Sequoyah Conference and Retreat Center.

He was a member of the Prairie Grove First United Methodist Church , serving as Sunday School Superintendent and on the Board of Trustees as well as a member of the Wesley Foundation Board of Trustees.

He was preceded in death by his parents, William Harris and Grace Rainwater, his brothers Ralph, Norton, Earl, Glen, Doyle, and one sister Vera.

Survivors include his wife of 58 years Paroda "Paddy" Ann Rainwater; one son and daughter-in-law Jeff and Laura Rainwater of Denver, Colorado; one brother Vernon Rainwater of Prairie Grove, Arkansas; one grandchild Emma; numerous nieces and nephews.

The family wished to express their appreciation to Carrol and Paddy's caregivers including, Susan Yeager, Kim Akin, Cinderella Todd, Kayla Savage and Taylor Boyles, who have become family through the years.

The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 6:00-7:00 P.M. at Luginbuel Funeral Home.

Funeral service will be held 1:00 PM Wednesday, June 5th, 2024, at Prairie Grove First United Methodist Church in Prairie Grove, Arkansas. Burial will be in the Hall Cemetery in Natural Dam, Arkansas.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Prairie Grove First United Methodist Church 1401 E Parks St. Prairie Grove, Arkansas 72753.
