DIED Mrs. Lucinda Odle was born July 25th 1825 and died at her home in Meridian Saturday morning at 4:20 a.m. May 10th 1890 of acute catarr?d gastritis age 64 years 10 months and 15 days. She was married to JOHN ODLE in 1842 in Washington county, Ark., they lived together 48 years. Moved to East Texas soon after her marriage and to Bosque county in 1855 where she has lived ever since. She raised ten children, five boys and five girls who she lived to see grown and married. Has 33 grand children living and seven dead. Her parents were NOAH and DORCAS G REEDER.
She was buried last Sunday in the family grave yard on Hog creek [Poston/Odle] at one o'clock p.m. in the presence of about eight hundred people. Funeral services were conducted by the Rev. Mr. Castleman.
She was embalmed by our undertaker D. H. Neely and looked life like when she was buried.
Thus has death claimed another pure noble and generous mother for its victim.
