Susie Ann Falkner, 103, of Wesley, died Nov. 8, at Meadowview Healthcare and Rehab in Huntsville. She was born Oct. 20, 1901, at Wesley, the daughter of John Calvin and Cusa Parks Boyd. She was a homemaker and a member of the Church of Christ. She was the widow of Mark Willis Falkner, who preceded her in death on July 17, 1973. She was also preceded in death by two daughters; Maxine Barron and Marie Watkins; one grandson, Troy Whiteley; two brother, Melvin Boyd and Marian Boyd; and by three sisters, Allie McChristian, Mildred Lewis and Bessie Boyd.
Survivors include: one son, Thomas Falkner of Elkins, two daughters, Truby Whiteley of Fayetteville and Annie Dorsey of Wesley; 12 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and 10 great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 11, in the chapel of Brashears Funeral Home with Doc Hudgins and Larry Combs, minister officiating. Interment was in the Bohannan Cemetery under the direction of Brashears Funeral Home.
Pallbearers were: Kenny Cornett, Derek Cornett, Bradley Dorsey, Jim Bob Dorsey, Tommy Falkner, Chris Falkner, Jeremy Falkner, Shane Napier and Talley Faulkner.
