Mrs. Emma E. Boyd, 73, died at 8:30 last night at her home on route 4. She had lived near Fayetteville for the past 60 years and was the wife of Allan Boyd, who died 30 years ago. Mrs. Boyd was born June 17, 1869 in Missouri, the daughter of Jack and Cindy Henson Elkins. She was a member of the Baptist church. Seven children survive. Mrs. Cora Boyd, Mrs. Ollie Byrd, Mrs. Minnie Byrd and Mrs. Della Boatright, all of Fayetteville; Mrs. Addie Johnson and Wallace Boyd, Whitener; Mrs. Martha Boatright, Zion. One sister, Mrs. Martha McCarver, Whitener, and 32 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren. Funeral services for Mrs. Boyd will be conducted by Rev. Ewell Logue Sunday at 2 o'clock at Martin Johnson cemetery near Buckeye. The body will remain at Moore's funeral home until time for the service. Pallbearers will be six nephews; Willie, Jack, Floyd, Hosea, Nolen and Ovea Elkins.
