Barbara Faye Ledbetter
80, of Huntsville, died Friday, Jan. 1, 2021, at Countryside Assisted Living, Huntsville.
She was born Friday, Feb. 16, 1940, in Fayetteville to Gilbert Fay and Maggie Lee Pennington Boyd.
Barbara married John Carl Ledbetter on Friday, Sept. 6, 1957, and together they were parents to two children.
She was a homemaker and a member of Drakes Creek Regular Baptist Church. Barbara enjoyed quilting, reading, putting puzzles together, gardening and bird watching. She was also an avid sports fan, cheering on the Eagles and the Razorbacks at every opportunity. Her greatest love was for her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, never missing an opportunity to show her love and support for them.
Barbara was preceded in death by her parents; and her husband, John Carl, to whom she was married for 52 years.
She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Randy and Patty Ledbetter of Cave Springs; her daughter and son-in-law, Tammy and Jeff Williams of Hindsville; three grandchildren, Jacob Ledbetter, Maggie and Sam Davidson, and JoBeth and Travis Evans; five great-grandchildren, Jaxon Evans, Tiva Evans, John Cole Ledbetter, Drake Davidson and Tinley Rose Davidson; and her brother, Jack Boyd of Hindsville.
Graveside services were held Tuesday, Jan. 5, 2021, at Drakes Creek Cemetery with John Napier officiating.
Services were entrusted to Brashears Funeral Home and Crematory of Huntsville.
