Leota Alice (Curtis) Webb, 89, of Harrison, died March 18 (2011) at Hospice of the Hills in Harrison.
The daughter of Cortis Earl Curtis and Winnie Ethel (Jackson) Curtis was born Dec. 8, 1921, near Lead Hill.
On March 22, 1939, she married Ross Webb and they would have celebrated their 72nd wedding anniversary this year.
Since 1954, she has lived on their farm near Harrison where they operated one of the first Grade A dairies in the area. She was a charter member of the Cottonwood Fire Department Auxiliary and was a member of Eagle Heights Baptist Church. She loved fishing, playing cards, quilting, visiting at Walmart and most of all laughing.
She is survived by her husband; two sons, Jack and wife, Barbara, and Bill and wife, Kay, all of Harrison; three grandchildren, Tim and wife, Shawna, P.R. and wife, Janet, and Jenifer; five great-grandchildren:, Jacinda, Amy, Abby, Tucker and Caden; a brother, Henry Curtis and his wife, Ann, of Oklahoma City, Okla.; and 50 nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; seven brothers, Alfred, Bennie, Doy, Ray, Aubrey, Carthel and Clyde, and a sister, Oleta Widner, and their spouses; a granddaughter, Kristie Webb, and 17 nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be at 3 p.m. Monday, March 21 at Gobbler Cemetery in Carroll County. Visitation will be from 3 -5 p.m. Sunday, March 20, at Roller-Christeson Funeral Home in Harrison. Pallbearers will be her sons and grandchildren. Honorary pallbearers will be her five great-grandchildren, Dr. Cathy Clary and Dr. Marian Stewart.
