He grew up in Ozark Co, MO.

He was a widowed man, his wife Nancy having passed away in 1904. He was checked into State Hospital #3 with aorta insufficiencies and passed away there at 60 years, 5 months & 16 days of age.

Dr. J. W. Dawson was the attending physician.

He was brought back to Carthage for burial at Park Cemetery next to his wife.
